Happy Resurrection Day!

Christ The Lord is Risen Today

Christ, the Lord, is risen today, Alleluia!
Sons of men and angels say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth, reply, Alleluia!

Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Lo! the Sun’s eclipse is over, Alleluia!
Lo! He sets in blood no more, Alleluia!

Vain the stone, the watch, the seal, Alleluia!
Christ hath burst the gates of hell, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids His rise, Alleluia!
Christ hath opened paradise, Alleluia!

Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once He died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where thy victory, O grave? Alleluia!

Soar we now where Christ hath led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like Him, like Him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

Hail, the Lord of earth and Heaven, Alleluia!
Praise to Thee by both be given, Alleluia!
Thee we greet triumphant now, Alleluia!
Hail, the resurrection, thou, Alleluia!

King of glory, Soul of bliss, Alleluia!
Everlasting life is this, Alleluia!
Thee to know, Thy power to prove, Alleluia!
Thus to sing and thus to love, Alleluia!

Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia!
Unto Christ, our heavenly King, Alleluia!
Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia!
Sinners to redeem and save. Alleluia!

But the pains that He endured, Alleluia!
Our salvation have procured, Alleluia!
Now above the sky He’s King, Alleluia!
Where the angels ever sing. Alleluia!

Jesus Christ is risen today, Alleluia!
Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
Who did once upon the cross, Alleluia!
Suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia!

Happy Resurrection Day! Remembering Christ's death and resurrection! Also how Jesus paid it all for us by dieing on the cross.

Fishing...

Actually these pictures aren't from today. This is a draft that has been sitting in waiting to be published . I finally got around to it today. :)

Anyway, it was really pretty that day and so everyone of us kids went on a walk. Well Nathan got the idea of trying to catch a fish using a long piece of grass (The 2nd picture from the bottom is him trying it out, and Ashlyn is holding one in the second picture. :) ). It didn't work very well, but we had fun catching crickets and playing in the dirt (mostly the boys played in the dirt though) :).

Happy Birthday Nathan!

Nathan turns nine years old today! He is so responsible and loves to do tasks for other people. He has changed so much since last year, except for his adorable red hair and light blue eyes. I don't know what we all would do without him there to make us laugh. I love him very much!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today marks the day of my wonderful Daddy's Birthday. He is pretty-near-close to perfect in my eyes. :)

My ten favorite things about my Daddy...

1. His devotion to teaching us about the Lord. He is always trying to find ways to bring a lesson into everyday life.

2. The way he laughs. :) I love it when Daddy laughs. Especially when he can't stop. His face completely changes. :)

3. His faith in Jesus. Daddy is such a strong believer. It shows every day that he is committed to being more like Jesus.

4. His humor. Daddy is so funny sometimes! He knows exactly what to say to make a person laugh.

5. His sensitivity towards others. He is always looking out for other people, and he knows when they need encouragement.

6. The way he gets excited about something. He is so adorable when he gets excited. :) He starts talking quickly and waving his hands around.

7. His ability to work hard. Daddy is such a hard worker. He does not stop until the job is done.

8. The way he corrects me when I am wrong. Isn't it funny that I like this about my Daddy? :)

9. The way he is humble. Daddy is almost never boasting about himself.

10. Best of all, I love my Daddy, because he is my Daddy! I could not think of having a different Daddy. I am so glad that God allowed my Mommy to marry my Daddy!

Happy Birthday!
In Him,

P.S. Daddy, you may call me "Your little girl," "Sweetie," and all your other nicknames for me as long as you want to!

Snow Again!

It snowed again! In Texas! This is a record for Texas it has snowed four times here. This time it got up to eight inches. I took several pictures. But I will spare you all of them. :)

Everything looks so beautiful under a blanket of snow.

Our chicken house under snow.

Nathan and I. It was pretty cold while we were taking this pictures.

This was our snowman, it was a little taller than Daddy! Trey is posing next to it.

Ryan, Ashlyn, and Nathan wanted to make another smaller snowman. This was the beginning of it. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the finished product.

Ashlyn posing with Alex, our cat.

Trey and Nathan rolling a ball of snow. We were working on building a fort. I think we rolled around eight of these not including the snowman.

Still in progress...

Finished! Ashlyn, Ryan, and Nathan are posing behind it. This was one base. We built another one on the other side so we could have a snowball fight.

I didn't ever want to forget the snow is why I took so many pictures. I was glad to have snow, but now that it is over I'm ready for Spring!

One year Blogiversary!

February 3, was the day I started blogging one year ago. I can't believe time has passed so quickly. I haven't been able to post as much as I have wanted to, but I hope I will be able to get better at that. :)

Happy New Year!

My goodness, the year of 2009 has sped by so quickly. I can not believe that tomorrow is the year 2010. I have to admit I am looking forward to some events in 2010. Here are the top ten, they are in no particular order in importance.
1. The Voyage of the Dawn Treader coming out in theaters on May 7, 2010. I have read Voyage of the Dawn Treader and am eagerly anticipating how they will adapt the book to a movie.
2. Our family is going to travel to Branson, MO in June 2010. All of Daddy's family is coming with us. I really can't wait. :)
3. I am saving for a new camera that I hope to buy in 2010.
4. Our family is going to try and start the business of bees. Hopefully we will be able to order the bees in April, 2010.
5. Our family will also be traveling to Orlando, Florida to visit Disney World. I can't wait to see the excitement on Ashlyn and Ryan's face as we ride the rides and see the sights.
6. Finishing my room. That means painting the walls, hanging up pictures and flower accents.
7. English Country Dancing! The ECD practices, and maybe attending a ball.
8. Participating in our church music. I would like to maybe start playing the piano and violin in church.
9. Seeing my brothers and sister grow up and mature in there relationship's with Jesus Christ.
10. This really is the most important. I want to learn how to serve others more, learn more about Jesus Christ, and get closer to my family.

May the year of 2010 be a year of great blessings from the Lord.
Happy New Year!
